Coordinated Statewide Emergency Preparedness: Massachusetts Inspired by the November 2003 Alliance for Response Forum in Boston, Coordinated Statewide Emergency Preparedness: Massachusetts (COSTEP MA) consists of representatives from numerous state agencies, museums, libraries, historical societies, and local, state, and federal emergency management agencies. Its ultimate goal is to develop and maintain a statewide disaster preparedness plan for cultural resources. |

Local News
The COSTEP Advisory Committee continues to meet quarterly to exchange news and provide progress reports on various activities. The COSTEP Steering Committee, a subset of the Advisory Committee, meets monthly to keep these activities moving forward. Click here to learn more. Efforts in Boston have led to a new Annex for cultural heritage in the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
