Troop members Jordan Kruger, 13, and Emily Walker, 12, presented their observations of participants’ unique collections, including a slave emancipation petition held by the Louisiana State Division of Archives; a group of endangered pine trees at Atkins Arboretum in Ridgely, Maryland; Edward Green Malbone’s iconic painting The Hours at the Providence at the Name in Rhode Island; and Rich’s Department Store’s famous pink pig train at the Atlanta History Center. The scouts’ efforts will be counted towards their Silver Medal award.
