2004 Heritage Preservation Annual Meeting
November 19, 2004
The Charles Sumner School
1201 17th Street, NW
Washington, DC 20036
Now is the time to make plans to attend Heritage Preservations 2004 annual meeting in Washington, DC on November 19. Keynote speaker Bob Martin, Director of the Institute of Museum and Library Services, will discuss with us the preliminary results of the Heritage Health Index. In addition, a panel including John Hammer, Director of the National Humanities Alliance, and Jason Hall, Director of Government & Public Affairs at the American Association of Museums, will address what the election results portend for federal cultural heritage programs. We will report on Heritage Preservation programs but will leave plenty of time for discussion.
The session begins with breakfast at 8:30, and the meeting will come to order at 9. We will adjourn by 12:30. The meeting will be held in the historic Sumner School building, at 17th and M Streets, NW. November, when the city will be full of post-election buzz, will be a great time to come to Washington. Mark your calendars now.
