2004 Save America's Treasures Grants Announced
Save Americas Treasures grants totaling $14,500,000 were announced Monday, October 11. The awards, from FY 2004 appropriations, are a result of a competitive process administered by the National Park Service in cooperation with several other federal agencies.
Grants were made to 35 historic properties and 25 collections. Institutions receiving collections grants include:

Stanford University, for preservation of the R. Buckminster Fuller Recordings;

the New York City Police Museum, for its 9/11 Collection;

the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, for the Hogg Family Collection of Native American art and works by Remington; and
-
Fisk University for the Rosenwald Negro Rural Schools Photograph Collection.
