Heritage
Present, Heritage Future, the 28th annual meeting of Heritage Preservation, will be
held in Dallas, Texas on May 31. You are invited to join us at the Adams Mark Hotel at
12:30 pm for lunch and a briefing on recent accomplishments and plans for the future.
Highlights will include:
- Discussion of Heritage Preservation’s two newest projects, the Heritage Health
Index and the Survey and Assessment of Sculpture resulting from NEA’s Art in Public
Places program;
- An illustrated presentation on sculptures saved with the support of the SOS!
Conservation Treatment Awards;
- A briefing on other Heritage Preservation projects and products, such as CAP, Caring
for Your Family Treasures, and the Spanish-language Emergency Response and Salvage
Wheel;
- Presentation of the 2001 Heritage Preservation/College Art Association Award for
Distinction in Scholarship and Conservation to Andrea Kirsh and Rustin Levenson for Seeing
Through Paintings: Physical Examination in Art Historical Studies; and
- announcement of the winners of the Heritage Preservation/AIC Award for Outstanding
Commitment to the Preservation and Care of Collections.

convenience of many of our members, the meeting will once again be held in connection with
the annual meeting of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic & Artistic
Works (AIC) at the Adams Mark Hotel.
TRAVEL
American Airlines is the designated carrier for the AIC annual meeting. Please call

GROUND TRANSPORTATION
SuperShuttle runs from the airport every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day. A cab from the
airport to the Adam's Mark is approximately $38.

REGISTRATION
There is a registration fee of $18 for members and $20 for nonmembers to cover the cost of
the box lunch. If you would like a vegetarian meal please be sure to indicate this on the
registration form.
AIC ANNUAL MEETING
All members of Heritage Preservation may register for the AIC annual meeting at the AIC member rate. If you
