Progress on the Meg Saligman mural is astounding. The blue base color is quickly transformed by the crew into a myriad of colors and figures in what seems like a matter of hours. One day there is merely an outline of a figure, the next day there is a whole new image with wondrous details to examine. Check out the intricacies of the Native American blanket or the youthful face of a child.
Upon visiting Meg's studio around the corner, it is immediately apparent just how much preparatory work has gone into this soon to be 22,000 square foot mural. Cans of all sizes of paints of many colors have been mixed and the next highly detailed sections of the mural are taking shape on an acrylic fiber material taped to the wall of the studio. These pieces will soon be attached to the outdoor wall for even more detail.
The left side of the mural is now complete and the scaffolding has been moved further down the immense length of the wall. The mural promises to be wonderful!!
So Cool!
