FY 2004 CAP Applicants Need a DUNS Number
The Office of Management and Budget has directed all federal agencies to require all federal grants applicants to provide a Dun and Bradstreet (D&B) Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number beginning October 1, 2003.

This means that all 2004 CAP applicants will need to have a DUNS number. Getting a DUNS number is free and easy. In fact, many organizations already have a DUNS number. A DUNS number can be obtained (or you may verify that you have one) by visiting www.dnb.com/us/ or by calling 866-705-5711. It may take up to 30 days to receive a DUNS number, so potential applicants should work to get one now if there is any intention of applying for a federal grant in the future.

If you have any questions, please contact the CAP Office at 202-634-1422 or e-mail either rhouse@heritagepreservation.org or khoffmann@heritagepreservation.org.
