As you prepare for your 2004 CAP Assessments, don’t forget that The Conservation Assessment: A Tool for Planning, Implementing and Fund-raising is available on-line in a printable version and as a fill-in PDF. We encourage you to print off the appropriate checklist for each of your site visits so you have a fresh copy for note taking. Best Practices for Conditions Assessments of Historic Structures, a synopsis of the tips and techniques shared at the September 2003 workshop for architectural assessors, is now available as a PDF. A copy of the publication was mailed to all CAP assessors in February 2004. We believe the publication is of interest to all CAP assessors, whether architectural or collections, experienced or novice. There are a limited number of printed copies available.
