2004 Award Presentations
The American Institute for Conservation/Heritage Preservation Award for Outstanding Commitment to the Preservation and Care of Collections was awarded to three institutions in late 2004. For more about the recipients, click here.

The Henry Ford
The Henry Ford received the award on October 8, 2004, in Dearborn, Michigan. Barbara Heller, a member of the Heritage Preservation Board (at left), and Tom Chase, President of AIC (second from left), presented the award. Representatives from The Henry Ford included Judith E. Endelman, Director, Historical Resources and Bbenson Ford Research Center (second from right), and Patricia Mooradian, Chief Operating Officer (at right).

The National Archives

The National Archives was recognized on December 9 for its dedication to high standards of conservation policy and practice and the priority it gives to conservation concerns. Heritage Preservation's President and Chairperson of the Board joined the American Institute for Conservation's President and Executive Director in presenting the award to Archivist of the United States John Carlin at a special awards ceremony.
