Board Member Receives AIC Award

At this year’s meeting of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works, Heritage Preservation Board Member Jerry Podany was co-recipient of the Rutherford John Gettens Merit Award, which recognizes outstanding service to AIC. The award also went to Rebecca Rushfield.

Also at the meeting, Catharine Hawks, who represents the Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections on the Heritage Emergency National Task Force and served as a content matter expert for the Field Guide to Emergency Response, received the Sheldon & Caroline Keck Award. This award “recognizes a sustained record of excellence in the education and training of conservation professionals.”
