Elsa Huxley, Director of Meetings, Membership, and External Affairs
Elsa Huxley has joined the staff in the new position of Director of Meetings, Membership and External Affairs. Her responsibilities encompass organizing and increasing the membership roster and logistical work for Heritage Preservation's Annual Meeting and the series of Collecting to Connections forums in addition to writing for the website. Her work experience includes time at the Tribeca Film Institute and as the Household Manager and Personal Assistant to a prominent New York philanthropist. She has a B.A. in Philosophy from Saint John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland.
Jimena Rojas, Web and Publications Coordinator
Jimena graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a BA in Communications and a minor in Art. She started at Heritage Preservation as the Assistant to the President for Membership and Marketing and later moved on to be the CAP Program Associate. Her new responsibilities as Web and Publications Coordinator include maintaining the website and managing Heritage Preservation's publications.
Lauren Hunley, Administrative Assistant
Lauren Hunley graduated with a BA from University of New Mexico; majoring in Anthropology with emphasis in Archaeology, minoring in American Studies with emphasis in Cultural Studies. She interned at Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, Albuquerque, NM and Custer Battlefield Museum, Garryowen, MT. She is responsible for database and IT management, filling orders for publications, and providing support to membership, external affairs, Rescue Public Murals, and the office of the President.
Rachel Sloan, Program Assistant, Heritage Emergency National Task Force
Rachel Sloan just recently relocated to Washington D.C. from Gainesville, FL. She has her BFA in Art History from the University of Florida, and her MA in Historic Preservation from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Before coming to Heritage Preservation she worked at the Florida Museum of Natural History. Her responsibilities include maintaining communications with members of the Task Force and Heritage Preservation's affiliated organizations; providing administrative support for all Task Force projects; coordinating marketing activities for key publications and resources; providing research support for funding proposals; and organizing and maintaining program files.
