Sign up for the CAPabilities Newsletter
CAPabilities is the Conservation Assessment Program’s (CAP) biannual newsletter sent to all the past and present CAP museums, assessors, and Heritage Preservation members. It is mailed in the spring and fall of each year. Although it is designed for past CAP participants, it contains a great deal of useful information for small museums that are currently working on collections care issues. This information comes in the form of timely tips for spring and fall, the preservation calendar, and the Spotlight article.
The Spotlight on a CAPped Museum article tells the story of how the CAP process helped a museum to improve its collections care. The latest Spotlight story features the Friends of Iolani Palace, a museum dedicated to preserving the history of the Hawaiian royal family. If you are a former CAP participant and would like to share your experience with us for a future Spotlight article, please email Sara Gonzales, CAP Coordinator at sgonzales(a)heritagepreservation.org.
