Tell Us and You Could Win a Prize!

MayDayLogo

Libraries, museums, archives, and arts and historic preservation organizations across the nation are setting aside May 1, 2009, to participate in MayDay, a national effort to prepare for disasters. MayDay encourages organizations to take one simple step to protect the art, artifacts, records, and historic sites they hold in trust.

Prize drawings and a disaster resources sale are two ways Heritage Preservation is celebrating MayDay 2009. To get ideas for MayDay activities, visit www.heritagepreservation.org/programs/tflessons/MayDay.html.

For example The Anthropology Department at The Field Museum in Chicago, IL, a Heritage Preservation member, has assembled a team to complete a final revision of their Risk Mitigation and Recovery Plan. After formally accepting the revised document, it will be distributed to the entire museum staff.

To enter the prize drawing, click here and send us a short description of what you’re doing for MayDay 2009. Entrys are due by May 22, 2009.
