Save the Date! Connecting to Collections: A Call to Action, a multi-faceted national initiative of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to save America’s threatened collections, has brought information and inspiration to thousands of people and communities. In Buffalo, New York, on June 16 and 17, 2009, the people who will ensure that the initiative continues to expand and establish deep roots in American communities will gather for the fourth forum in the National Tour.
This forum will explore how committed individuals, ranging from small town librarians to directors of national conservation training programs, can work together to inspire and inform others, both nationally and in their communities. The IMLS and Heritage Preservation are pleased that the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works will partner with them in developing the program, which will be hosted by the Art Conservation Department of Buffalo State College.
