Funding Received for Pilot Treatment
Heritage Preservation has received a grant for the treatment of Homage to Seurat: La Grande Jatte in Harlem by the late Eva Cockcroft, which was assessed in September 2007 by artist's representative Janet Braun-Reinitz and conservator Harriet Irgang Alden. The grant is from Friends of Heritage Preservation, a small, private association of individuals based out of Los Angeles that seeks to promote cultural identity through the preservation of significant endangered artistic and historic works, artifacts and sites. The group was founded by Suzanne Deal Booth, whose family foundation provided funding for the Rescue Public Murals pilot phase.
