NWS Predicts Active Flood
and Hurricane Seasons

The Atlantic Coast hurricane season begins on June 1, 2010, and meteorologists are forecasting an active season. Recent earthquakes here and abroad, and this year’s serious spring flooding, remind us that preparedness is paramount. The Heritage Emergency National Task Force Web site has useful tools for disaster preparedness and response for cultural heritage. See the Quick Links at www.heritageemergency.org.
