Save Outdoor Sculpture! has received an Award of Merit from the American Association for State and Local History. The award recognizes SOS!’s accomplishments with sculpture preservation and is part of AASLH’s Annual Awards Program, which is the most prestigious recognition for achievement in the preservation and interpretation of local, state, and regional history.

Awards for 1999 will be given to 100 organizations and individuals from the United States. Award winners will be recognized at a special banquet during the 1999 AASLH/Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums joint Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland, on Friday, October 1.
