Heritage Emergency National Task Force Initiatives

Risk Evaluation and Planning Program
A pilot program in which teams of two professionals, a conservation expert and an emergency preparedness official, will visit 15 selected museums in Ohio, Texas, and Mississippi to assess their exposure to risks, make recommendations for cost-effective mitigation measures, and help the museums create or improve emergency plans.

Lessons Applied: Katrina and Cultural Heritage
Task Force members have developed new tools to address the major issues that Katrina and other major storms brought to light.
